Inside Out (2015) playfully illustrates IFS concepts by personifying core emotions like Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, all as distinct inner parts of 11-year-old Riley’s psyche. The movie shows how every part/emotion has a purpose, and emotional healing comes from from understanding and caring for these parts, not silencing them, especially the ones we often try to push away.

Inside Out 2 (2024) - A follow up to the 2015 original, we watch Riley struggling with emotional storms, introducing parts like Anxiety, Embarrassment, and others that fight for control alongside her original emotions. A great example of protective parts dominating an overwhelmed system and ways to release these patterns through visual storytelling.
